As part of Skys Target to reach Net Zero Carbon emissions by 2030, pictured above is the first roll out of the Sky Electric bus service that has been launched at Sky Livingston, the integration of the ADL Enviro 200 Electric buses (Alexander-Dennis.com) on charge in Livingston, using the Swarco (swarco.com) 43Kwh AC Chargers installed by Boyd Brothers (www.boydbrothers.co.uk) who have all play a key part to play in making the electric bus service possible. Boyd Brothers services have been great to work with and the team at Boyds head up by Managing Director Stephen Boyd continue to exceed expectations with a dedicated team assigned to each part of the project, tracking delivery of the charger infrastructure from the start to the finish with the installation and even post installation checks and review with the charger manufacturer and Cobra.

Cobra now appoint Boyd Brothers services at all sites that Electric fleets are being set up. ADL have manufacturing sites in Scarborough and Falkirk and they have worked closely with Cobra during the set up and throughout the bus build process right up to the launch of the service to ensure everything went smoothly. Mark Taylor, Regional Sales Manager for ADL had been pivotal in the process and our key contact, working with Cobra to maintain the projects targets on behalf of ADL. Delivering the new technology that will all be monitored for elements such as range within its operated typography and of course the reliability but ultimately the sustainability, that will be Cobras operations teams focus over the months and years ahead. Cobra are proud and excited to have been able to deliver this service during a time that has seen the pandemic, the war in Ukraine and even a hurricane, but that still did not stop the process leading right up when Cobra rolled out the project and began operating this all electric bus service for Sky Livingston… more to follow.
